Housing, a significant economic indicator…
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune indicated, Thursday in Constantine, that the dynamics experienced by the housing sector in Algeria make it one of the main economic indicators of national development. After following presentations on the state of development in the wilaya of Constantine, the modernization plan for the old city and several projects in various sectors, the President of the Republic specified that “the growth experienced by the housing sector in Algeria makes it one of the main economic indicators of national development”.
“We are continuing the work to improve things and I personally ensure that the walis have all the necessary facilitations for better management of housing projects,” he added. “Some thought that the housing issue was going to be the cause of the collapse of Algeria, but the opposite happened, because we are handling this issue as it should be in accordance with the expectations of citizens,” continued the President of the Republic, recalling that “the implementation of housing projects is, today, almost 100% Algerian.”
The President of the Republic also underlined the need to give due importance to the architectural and civilizational heritage of the wilaya of Constantine, alongside the implementation of development projects.
At the Sissaoui Urban Pole, President Tebboune laid the first stone of the project to create 8,050 rental-purchase housing units (AADL 3 program) and 6,800 LPL for the benefit of the commune of Constantine.
He also inaugurated the road linking the RN3 to the East-West motorway. At the end of his visit, the President of the Republic met civil society actors in the wilaya of Constantine.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic underlined his concern to “find a balance between university graduates and areas of investment, which has opened the way for Start-ups”. The State resolutely continues its efforts in favor of progress and development, in accordance with the expectations of citizens, affirmed the President of the Republic, stressing that “defeatist speeches no longer have their place” in the face of a tangible reality felt by all Algerians.
The President of the Republic began, earlier in the day, a working and inspection visit to the wilaya of Constantine to inaugurate and inspect several vital development projects. The presidential plane leaving for Constantine was escorted by fighter planes of the Air Force of the People’s National Army (ANP).
