During his visit this Monday at the 4ᵉ Interafican trade fair (IATF 2025), the president of the Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri, praised “a real African party”. Accompanied by several ministers and parliamentarians, he highlighted the progress of national industry and recalled the strategic role of Algeria in African economic integration, through structuring projects such as the Trans -Saharan route, the gas pipeline A gas pipeline is a pipeline intended for the transport of gasoline materials under pressure, most of the time hydrocarbons. Depending on their nature of use, gas pipelines can be classified as three main families: 1- Collection pipelinesbringing the gas out of the deposits or underground storage to treatment sites. 2- transportation or transit, transporting under high pressure the treated gas (dehydrated, desulfurée, …) at the doors of urban areas or industrial consumption sites 3- Distribution pipelinesdistributing low -pressure gas as close as possible to domestic consumers or small industries. towards Africa and the fiber optic network.
Throughout his tour, Nasri visited many pavilions of national and African companies. He was able to see the partnership opportunities offered and the prospects for common economic development. He welcomed the progress recorded by the Algerian industry in various sectors which he has attributed to the “clear -sighted policy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune”, having allowed “the effective revival of the economy, the diversification of sources of income and the opening to the promising African market”.
In a statement to the press, Nasri described the demonstration as “a real African celebration that Algeria has the honor of shelter”. He added that it was “a concretization of the political will of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, of carrying out African economic integration, in harmony with the aspirations of the African Union, of which Algeria is one of the founding countries”.
The chairman of the council also highlighted the dynamics of intra-African exchanges. “I am delighted with the progress observed in the African economies and the ascending dynamics that our exchanges are experiencing,” he said, convinced that “such demonstrations can only bring many profits to the whole continent”.
Evoking the driving role of Algeria, Nasri recalled the structuring projects initiated by the country to support this orientation. According to him, “the trans -Saharan route, the fiber optic network and the gas pipeline to Africa are strategic projects helping to facilitate exchanges and strengthen connectivity between African countries”.
Finally, he approached the African anchoring of the Algerian foreign policy, based on “the principles of solidarity, complementarity and common destiny”. He reaffirmed that Algeria, under the leadership of the president, “will spare no effort to support African initiatives aimed at promoting direct trade between African countries, far from external intermediaries, in the service of the interests of the peoples of the continent”.
