AAPI participates with a large program at IATF: investment, key to African economic integration

Promote intra-African investments.

It is through three major meetings that the Algerian investment promotion agency (AAPI) intends to mark its presence at the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025), which will open its doors next Thursday. The objective is to demonstrate the strategic place of investment in promoting African economic integration.

An exceptional participation of the AAPI is announced at the IATF. Reiterating Algeria’s commitment to promote intra-African investments and strengthening cooperation between the continent’s investment promotion agencies, the AAPI published this Saturday, in a press release, the program with which it takes part in this continental economic event. This is the organization of the “Algerian day, investment and trade forum”, which will be the appropriate opportunity to dismantle the place of Algeria as a promising investment destination.

This meeting on the program of the first day of the Fair, which will house the International Center for Conferences (ICC) Abdelatif-Rahal, under the theme “Algeria: investment and trade platform in Africa”, aims to promote and present Algeria as a promising “investment pole”, thanks to the great potential at its disposal, mainly marked by “a development economy”, “an incentive legal framework”, ” Modern infrastructure “, in addition to” its strategic geographic place “, according to the details of the AAPI.

It is above all an opportunity to mention several relative questions, among other things, in the business climate in Algeria, to the sectors which present real investment opportunities, as well as to the integration of Algeria into the African and global value chains. The promotion of South-South cooperation as part of the ZLECAF will also be on the program of this forum, enrolled in the IATF opening program.

The AAPI will also mark its participation in the IATF by the organization of a “mini-summit of African investment promotion agencies”, with the participation of more than 30 African agencies, funding organizations as well as international experts.

Organized in coordination with the African Import-Export Bank (AFREXIMBANK), the AAPI targets through this event, placed under the slogan “African agencies for the promotion of investment in the service of sustainable development through innovation, digital transformation and the integration of investment in global value chains”, to strengthen the role of agencies in the implementation of the continental area (Zlecaf). It also aims to develop digital strategies to facilitate the circulation of capital, strengthen the capacity of agencies in the evaluation and orientation of investment projects as well as to strengthen coordination between the continent agencies, through the exchange of expertise and best practices.

The investment promotion agency also intends to distinguish itself within the framework of its participation in this commercial fair by its exhibition pavilion, which will be “the showcase” of the investment opportunities in Algeria. “An opportunity to present the business climate in Algeria, investment opportunities, financing mechanisms as well as the stages and the investment concretization process,” said the AAPI, which also said that it will take part in other IATF activities in addition to the organization of meetings with investors.

The investment promotion agency, which highlighted the importance of this economic event, which will be marked by the participation of more than 2,000 exhibitors, 35,000 professional visitors from 140 countries, already predicted “a great success” of this great continental event given, it was underlined, the number of participants and the place of Algeria, in particular through its pivotal role in the process of development and African integration.
