The contributions of the National Office of School Publications (ONPS) must be oriented, in the future, towards digital and electronic production, in accordance with the State strategy in terms of digitization, in phase with the evolution of educational means and tools around the world. This was stated by the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed.
“The main objective of the creation of the National School Publications Office is to take charge of the production and printing of official textbooks approved by the Ministry of National Education and to distribute them to educational establishments,” indicated the minister in his closing speech at the national forum organized by the National Office of School Publications at the National Army Club, for the benefit of regional directors.
The minister also stressed the need to use “all available means and equipment to deliver textbooks to all educational establishments on time”, welcoming the efforts made by ONPS and its subsidiaries “to distribute textbooks and ensure the availability of this essential educational tool in the educational process.”
Insisting on the need to exploit all available means and equipment, with a view to distributing school books to all educational establishments within the allotted time frame, Mr. Belabed welcomed the effort made by the staff of the ONPS and its centers with a view to distributing school books and ensuring the availability of this essential educational tool for teaching.
On this occasion, the minister followed a presentation on the areas addressed by the conference, relating to the digitization and distribution of school books, in addition to workshops on the distribution of school books, the school book movement as well as the supervision and management of regional and wilaya centers under the supervisory ministry.
