Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram, the former IDF deputy chief of staff, has officially stepped into his new position as director general of the Defense Ministry.

A handover ceremony was held today at the Defense Ministry, attended by outgoing director general and current IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir.

In the interim period, Itamar Graf—deputy director and head of the ministry’s planning division—had been filling the role until Baram’s appointment.
