After the setbacks due to the insufficiency and lack of drinking water, suffered since February by families in the town of Tiaret and three other municipalities, the drinking water supply project (AEP), on the network of this chergui with a capacity of 8,000 m3, as well as its connection to the Tousnina and Sidi Ouadah network, 10 km from Tiaret, was completed, to the great joy of the residents.
The project carried out by four companies and reinforced by the national firm Cosider Canal to accelerate the work and the connection to the Sidi Ouadah pumping station, the project of which is at the time of its acceptance with a three times eight system.
Yesterday, a delegation, headed by wali Ali Bouguerra and P/APW Louakal Bekheïra, attended the test operation following the drilling of the Ladjdar plant connected to the site in order to supply the town of Tiaret with a volume of 16,000 km. To return to this local crisis following the failures of the sacked executives, the file found itself on the table of the Council of Ministers pushing the chief magistrate to intervene and send a ministerial delegation headed by Brahim Merad and Derbal to resolve the problem.

The operation still underway to reach as many families as possible is complemented by a significant number of wells made available to the population. To return to the instructions of the President of the Republic, the Minister of Water Resources stopped in Tiaret, in March, May and June, before accompanying the Minister of the Interior Brahim Merad in order to find a solution and resolve the issue before Eid. For the most important project, there is that of the 100 km from the border of Djelfa to Tiaret, and other drillings captured in the village of Si El Haouès, with its commissioning of other projects, such as the strengthening of the AEP network in benefit of the commune of Tiaret, starting from the water basin of Aïn Dzarit and the connection of a well relating to the Ladjdar factory and others through the soil of the region for a satisfactory flow with the water supply network direction of the wilaya capital. It should be recalled that President Tebboune ordered, during the meeting of the Council of Ministers which he chaired on the 24th of last month, to put in place a specific emergency program to resolve the problem of disruptions of the supply of drinking water to the population of Tiaret.
For this important project, there are 19 boreholes in Djermaya, on a route of around a hundred km to supply Tiaret-ville with a production of 34,000 m3 of which 10,000 will be transferred to Mahdia. The design office in charge of the project tells us, according to the presentation, eleven municipalities which will be affected by this significant flow. In recent days, Tiaret has transformed into an open-air construction site and a water war in order to put an end to this shortage.
Note also that the commissioning of the Chett Chergui project is planned for this Friday in the presence of Minister Derbal. Mission accomplished, the blue gold flows freely again.
