Moscow has elevated its police force to a heightened state of alert in response to a warning published by the US Embassy regarding potential terrorist threats in the Russian capital.

Details: Reports indicate that the number of patrol groups in central Moscow and on certain modes of transportation has been increased by 2-2.5 times. Additionally, personnel in civilian attire have been deployed for duty.
