Stoltenberg said that support should become more predictable and less focused on voluntary contributions.

Quote: “We need to shift the dynamics of our support. We must ensure reliable and predictable security assistance to Ukraine for the long haul. So that we rely less on voluntary contributions and more on NATO commitments. Less on short-term offers and more on multi-year pledges,” Stoltenberg said.
Therefore, he said, foreign ministers will discuss how NATO can demonstrate greater responsibility in coordinating the provision of military equipment and training to Ukraine.
“We will also discuss a multi-year financial commitment to sustain our support,” he said.
Stoltenberg added that this ministerial meeting will be an opportunity to build consensus on these issues amid preparations for the Washington summit.
