Nécessité d’intensifier la formation continue – Le Jeune Indépendant


Participants in the 3rd edition of the regional seminar “Mental disability, changing perspective”, organized this Saturday at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Abdelhamid-Mehri University (Constantine 2), underlined the need to intensify continuing education programs for staff responsible for caring for mentally retarded children and adolescents.

The multiplication of training aims to ensure better monitoring and support for this category of society in different psychological, educational and professional areas, declared an expert trainer in institutions specialized in this sector in Geneva (Switzerland) Ali Agraniou who spoke during this scientific meeting initiated by the national pharmaceutical laboratory Magpharm in coordination with the national sick aid association in Constantine.

The organization of training and professional activities adapted to the person’s disability situation has become obligatory with the aim of guaranteeing schooling in particular.

students suffering from mental disabilities, affirmed the same speaker, during this Seminar which saw the presence of 350 participants and eight associations versed in this field from the wilayas of Constantine, Sétif and Annaba.

In addition, training workshops intended for specialized educators, psychologists and speech therapists from associations and psycho-educational centers for mentally retarded children are planned this week in the wilayas of Constantine, Sétif and Annaba, according to the organizers.
