🇩🇿 🔥📝 — On social media of the MAK Movement, the declaration of independence of Kabylia reads as:

“Today, December 14, 2025, irrevocably marks the advent of a new era for the Kabyle people.
Today, Kabylia—a political entity attested as early as the 3rd century of our era, a kingdom until 1871—brings
an end to the subjugation in which it was placed following its annexation to Algeria more than a century and a half ago, without its consent ever having been sought.

Throughout this long history, its people have remained faithful to itself: to its language, to its customs, to its fundamental values, and above all to its deep vocation for freedom.

It is fully aware of what it is: a people.
Now, a people conscious of itself is, by essence, a nation. Whether this nation is dominated or administered by an external power does not erase it for all that. It persists, it lives, it resists.

This situation even strengthens its fundamental right to self-determination, all the more so when its action remains strictly peaceful, as is the case with the Kabyle people.

For one hundred and fifty years, Kabylia has endured various forms of oppression without renouncing its values or
the affirmation of its identity. In the face of its denial, it has responded with fidelity to itself. In the face of violence
directed against its expression, it has opposed a serene determination to recover its rights through legal and peaceful means. In the face of attempts to erase it, it has demonstrated remarkable resilience…”
