🇦🇲🔥📹 — On today, April 23, 2024 AD, Armenians in Armenia marched on the streets of Yerevan to mark, remember and celebrate the 99 Years of the start of the Armenian Genocide by the Young Turk’s leadership in the Ottoman Empire during the World War I

During the event, which is held every year since Armenia regained its independence following the collapse of the Soviet Regime, a torchlight procession in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide by the Young Turks took place, starting from Republic Square in Yerevan.

The torchlight procession in Yerevan then went to the Mashtots Avenue, where new participants are joining the ranks along the way.

It happens 4 years after the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, which ended in Azerbaijani victory, and 7 months after the Azeri Offensive of September 2023, when the Pro-West administration of Nikol Pashinyan surrendered without a fight the entire remaining 🇦🇲 Territory of Artsakh Republic and triggered the mass exodus of 100,000 Armenian civilians.
