Ooredoo marks National Children’s Day

True to its status as a corporate citizen par excellence, Ooredoo is keen to mark National Children’s Day, celebrated on 15 July each year.
Fully committed to the company’s social responsibility actions, Ooredoo has repeatedly supported this section of society through initiatives capable of bringing joy and happiness to children.
Ooredoo has organised a multitude of operations and initiatives in favour of children living with disabilities, which have resulted in the granting of contributions to certain associations working to support people with disabilities in all their forms.
Coinciding with the symbolism of the dual celebration of Independence Day and Youth Day, Ooredoo attended the celebration organized under the auspices of the National Office for the Protection and Promotion of Children (ONPPE), and in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, under the theme: “Today’s children, tomorrow’s elite” which was held on July 15, at the Dome of the Mohamed Boudiaf Olympic Complex in Algiers.
On the other hand, Ooredoo proceeded to send a Bulk SMS to its customers, originating from ONPPE, wishing “a happy celebration to all children on the occasion of this national day.”
It is worth recalling that Ooredoo recently celebrated International Children’s Day, which falls on 1 June each year, and organised, in partnership with the National Volunteer Association, an educational and instructive day dedicated mainly to children with reduced mobility, orphans and children of Ooredoo employees.
In addition, Ooredoo and the Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Research (FOREM) in partnership with ONPPE organized on the eve of Aid el Adha 2024, a gift distribution operation for the benefit of students at a primary school in Ain Boucif, Wilaya of Médéa, where the children who were victims of the tragedy of the Sablettes promenade were educated. Also, Ooredoo also made a financial donation to FOREM, for the acquisition of sheep for the benefit of deprived families and orphaned children, thus allowing them to perform the ritual of sacrifice and experience the joy of Aid. Through these celebrations, Ooredoo reiterates its commitment to Algerian children and its desire to support and help this section of the population. n
