Opening of 61 beaches authorized for swimming in Algiers

The Wali of Algiers, Mohamed Abdenour Rabehi, announced, Thursday in Algiers, the opening of 61 beaches authorized for swimming across the territory of the wilaya, with the mobilization of all the necessary equipment to ensure the success of this year’s summer season. In a speech delivered at the opening of the work of the ordinary session of the People’s Assembly of the Wilaya (APW), which included a presentation on the preparations for the 2024 summer season at the level of the wilaya, Mr. Rabehi stressed that “in order to materialize the orientations of the country’s high authorities aimed at encouraging local tourism and ensuring comfort for citizens, beach inspections were carried out, in addition to the necessary work carried out in parallel with the launch of extensive cleaning and black spot elimination campaigns, in addition to supporting the waste collection and transport system.”
“The efforts made in this context have made it possible to open 61 beaches authorized for swimming and to mobilize 3,500 agents to guarantee surveillance and security, while ensuring lighting, cleanliness and equipment for collecting and transporting waste, as well as special equipment intended for people with specific needs to allow this category to access the beaches,” he added.
