The closing ceremony of the 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF-2025), organized from September 4 to 10 in Algiers, took place yesterday Wednesday in the afternoon. This edition has seen the participation of 2,000 exhibitors and delegations from 140 countries. In this regard, Larbi Latrèche, commissioner of the IATF-2025, said that Algeria remained faithful to its commitment to support the African continent, the liberation movements and the interests of its peoples.
He underlined his unwavering commitment to the development process and the implementation of the African Union 2063 agenda. He explained that the fair offered a real platform to companies and businessmen to establish large partnerships in various fields and constituted an essential space to strengthen the unity ties between our African brothers. He added that the organization by Algeria of this historical edition and the particular importance given by the public authorities to its preparations and its organization, under the rigorous direction of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, reflected the position of leader of Algeria on the continent.
He noted that President Tebboune had stressed, in his opening speech, the importance of making this edition an exceptional event, which was produced by breaking all the previous records. Larbi Latrèche also reiterated that Algeria, which has always been at the forefront of support for liberation movements, continues its unwavering commitment to support all efforts aimed at strengthening Africa’s political and economic independence on the international scene.
At the end of his speech, the director of the exhibition expressed his deep gratitude to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his generous support and his constant interest in the success of this event, highlighting his attentive follow -up of preparations from the start. He also congratulated President Olusegun Obasanjo, appreciating his wisdom and expertise for his contribution to the success of this edition.
For his part, the Sahrawi Minister of Trade, Ahmed Bachir Ammi Omar, said that the participation of the Arab Republic of Democratic Sahrawi (RASD) in the 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF-2025), whose work ended yesterday in Algiers, confirms “that the Sahrawi state is an irreversible African reality”.
Guest of the “Ifrikya FM” channel of the National Radio ‘, the Minister explained that “this participation in such a continental event reflects the serious commitment of the RASD to move forward in achieving the objectives of the African Union (AU)”.
