The Central Director of the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts, in this case Nabil Mellouk, revealed yesterday Wednesday, on the eve of the opening of the 23rd edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair (SITEV), scheduled from May 30 to June 2, at the Palais des expositions (Algiers), more than 400 exhibitors will participate in this new edition.
Explaining its importance and demonstrating its great dimension during his appearance on the program ”The morning guest” of Channel I of Algerian Radio, the person in charge within the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts highlighted “the influence of the economic event through the scale of participation and the spaces that include all areas of the tourist product”, he reports, while considering the 23rd edition of the International Tourism Fair and travel “as an opportunity for economic operators and professionals to present their services and know-how,” said the Channel I host.
The same official stressed that the primary objective of this event is to promote the tourist destination as a priority, as well as to allow customers to conclude partnership and work agreements and contracts. Also, says Nabil Mellouk, “bilateral meetings will be organized between foreign and Algerian concessionaires, as well as between Algerian and Algerian concessionaires.
Algerians, through the participation of hotel institutions, as well as tourism and travel agencies, and foreign and national land, sea and air transport companies, in addition to the participation of innovative young people and owners of emerging businesses with applications electronic companies active in the field of tourism,” he mentioned on the airwaves of Channel I of Algerian Radio.
He added: “This important international event is an opportunity to present the different services, products and programs they have prepared. There we will find different exhibition spaces, particularly for children, for emerging institutions and for the mujahideen sector in terms of history and memory, as well as a space for culture and arts through the presence of parks classified national cultural sites in addition to classified natural parks as well as training establishments which will participate through the sector of professional training and education,” he reports further. Referring to the figures recorded in the field of tourism, as well as the place occupied by Algeria in this field last year, the Central Director of the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts, Nabil Mellouk, declared : “In 2023, Algeria received more than 3.3 million foreign tourists, including 1.1 million from the national community residing abroad.
