From the national quota concerning the École normale supérieure (ENS), set at 2,000 educational places, 843 were allocated to the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou, more precisely to Mouloud Mammeri University, which opened an annex dedicated to this purpose at the level of its Tamda pole. Teacher training, specialty of ENS, will concern the three levels of education: primary, medium and secondary.
Note that the opening of an annex by the ENS of Bouzaréah (Algiers) in Tizi Ouzou constitutes a first. In addition to this novelty, which marks the start of the school year 2025-2026 in Tizi Ouzou, it should also be noted that, among the 50,000 students that Mouloud Mammeri counted at the end of the 2024-2025 academic year are added this year 10,758 new registrants, corresponding to the baccalaureate holders of this promotion.
Regarding all the specialties taught, the forecast of managers focused on a total of 9,915 educational places. Finally, a university residence of 2,000 beds must enter service on the Tamda campus in the coming days.
