More than 860,000 candidates take the Baccalaureate starting today

More than 860,000 candidates will take the Baccalaureate exams (2024 session) from today across 2,869 examination centers nationally. According to figures communicated by the Ministry of National Education, 862,733 candidates are registered for this national exam, scheduled for June 9 to 13, including 36.23% of independent candidates and 60% of girls.
There will also be 971 candidates with specific needs to take the Baccalaureate, measures having been taken to put them in good conditions, including subjects in Braille for the visually impaired and specific arrangements for students suffering from a motor disability.
Note that the 2024 session is marked by the organization of the first Baccalaureate in the Arts sector, which concerns 146 candidates spread over four (4) specialties (music, cinema/audiovisual, theater and plastic arts), who passed the practical tests , on April 28 at the Lycée national des Arts Ali-Maâchi.
Given the importance of this national exam, all organizational measures have been taken to ensure the smooth running of the tests, with the establishment of a monitoring system at several levels for maximum rigor.
“The subjects of the exams will be within the reach of students who have regularly followed courses until the end of the third term, because they are drawn from the program taught in classes during the school year,” said the Minister of Education national, Abdelhakim Belaabed, calling on candidates to take precautions to avoid arriving late, especially as the examination centers will be open an hour and a half before the start of the tests.
As in previous years, no communication tools are allowed in examination rooms and personal effects will be placed in a room dedicated to this purpose.
To combat fraud in national exams, the public authorities have adopted a strict criminal policy, with the assistance of the Education and Justice sectors and the bodies concerned.
