PMI Algeria and Algeria Startup Challenge launch the 4th Edition of the “Harm Reduction Awards”

Philip Morris International (PMI), in partnership with the Algeria Startup Challenge, announces the launch of the 4ᵉ edition of the Harm Reduction Initiative Awards, an annual meeting that celebrates the ingenuity and the commitment of young Algerian entrepreneurs.
Placed under the theme ” Risk reduction & sustainability ‘, the 2025 edition is honoring visionary projects in key fields: food security, public health, road safety, responsible consumption, preservation of the environment, prevention of natural disasters, fight against climatic risks, and use of artificial intelligence to anticipate and reduce these threats.
“This initiative perfectly embodies our commitment to responsible innovation. By supporting these young entrepreneurs, we help bring about concrete solutions to the challenges of our time. Their creativity, their determination and their vision are a source of inspiration and an engine of hope for the future, ”says Marc Attinger, managing director of Philip Morris Algeria.
The selected start-ups will benefit from a bootcamp combining practical workshops, personalized mentorship and exchanges with high-level experts. This program will prepare them to present their solutions during the closing ceremony of the Algeria Startup Challenge 2025, scheduled for November, in front of a panel composed of institutional decision -makers, and economic leaders.
