Premier forum algéro-coréen demain à Alger – Le Jeune Indépendant

Exchange, sharing of know-how as well as strengthening cooperation will be on the program of the 1st Algerian-Korean forum on energy efficiency which will be organized tomorrow in Algiers.

This was indicated by the Commission for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CEREFE), which announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Commission and the Korean Energy Agency ( KEA) with the aim of promoting a lasting and mutually beneficial partnership.

“The forum will provide an opportunity to exchange experience in terms of energy efficiency of household electrical appliances, to share regulations relating to energy efficiency, including those related to labeling and minimum energy performance standards for household electrical appliances and typology of projects dedicated to the energy efficiency of household electrical appliances,” CEREFE indicated in a press release.

During this forum, the presentation of the establishment of the quality infrastructure for household electrical appliances, in particular air conditioners for the benefit of the National Testing Laboratory (LNE), is planned.

This event will be marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Cerefe and the Korea Energy Agency (KEA) with the aim of promoting a lasting and mutually beneficial partnership, establishing comprehensive and diversified cooperation between both parties and to exchange expertise and know-how in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energies, green hydrogen and clean mobility, indicated the Renewable Energy Commission.

This memorandum also concerns the exchange of information on policies and regulations on energy efficiency, cooperation on quality infrastructure for the control of household electrical equipment, the contribution of new technologies and innovative solutions to energy efficiency and the joint development of studies and analyses, it was underlined.

The event, organized jointly by Cerefe and the KEA, will see the presence of the commissioner of the Commission, Noureddine Yassaa, representatives of several ministries and institutions, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Algeria, the vice-president of the KEA and experts from both countries.
