and Professional Education, Yacine Merabi presented last Tuesday, before the members of the Commission on Education, Training, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Religious Affairs of the Council of the Nation, the strategy and outlook, as well as sector digitalization measures. During this meeting chaired by the president of the commission, Laid Madoui, in the presence of the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Besma Azouar and the vice-president of the Council of the Nation, Ahmed Kherchi, the minister reported on “the implementation of a strategy capable of adapting the guiding axis of the field of professional training to the requirements of development through the development of programs, the updating of training tools and the supervision of trainers while adopting measures in favor of the digitalization and modernization of the sector. A training plan has been put in place at the local level “taking into account the geographical specificities and the economic fabric of each region”, said the minister adding that it is, in addition, a matter of working towards “the “improvement, adaptation and updating of training programs”. He also mentioned the measures and resources put in place by the sector for the benefit of training seekers, recalling that during the past training year, “around 300,000 educational places were opened, including 482 for the benefit of people to specific needs at the national level, distributed according to the nature, modes and training systems. He stressed that as part of the digitalization strategy, the sector had adopted measures aimed at “modernizing educational and administrative management and the activities of training establishments”, citing the launch of several digital platforms, including “Mihnati” intended for training applicants and “Dalil” containing information on training establishments, specialties, sectors and training programs. Referring to the future prospects of the sector, the minister cited in particular “the twinning project between training establishments aimed at promoting exchanges between trainers and trainees and relaunching participatory action”, “the strengthening of the partnership between the sector and economic operators, thanks to joint studies to define programs and methods”, in addition to “the development of distance training, the method of learning and the modernization of its mechanisms”.
