Presentation of the results of Algerian-German cooperation on skills development

A meeting was organized on Tuesday at the Specialized National Institute of Vocational Training (INSFP) in Rahmania (Algiers), for the presentation of the results of the cooperation program between the vocational training and education sector and the Agency. German international cooperation (GIZ) on skills development. This cooperation program aims to benefit from German experience in this area, through technical support for training establishments and the development of modern training programs meeting the needs of the labor market, said the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Yacine Merabi, in a speech read on his behalf by the chief of staff at the ministry, Aboubakr Kharfallah. The minister recalled certain areas of cooperation such as “training in the field of distance education dedicated to trainers” and “the launch of an electronic laboratory at the INSFP of Rahmania in the field of production of digital educational content for the development of e-learning. The program also provides for the development of digital platforms, some of which aim to strengthen communication with economic companies in different specialties, continued Mr. Merabi. And to add that this program aims to strengthen the capacities of young people and develop their skills through practical training programs which includes the organization of training workshops, improving the capacities of trainers in terms of use of digital media for educational purposes including the production of digital content in the educational field. Cooperation between the Vocational Training sector and GIZ aims to “create centers of excellence in various specialties and professional sectors” like the INSFP of Rahmania which “will be established as a center of excellence in the professions linked to the digitization and production of digital educational content,” added Mr. Merabi.n
