The Army General during his visit to ADEX.
Army General Saïd Chengriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the Algerian National People’s Army, took part this Monday in the official opening ceremony of the International Aeronautics and Space Exhibition “ADEX-2025”, which is being held in the Republic of Korea.
The ceremony was presided over by Lee Jae-myung, President of the Republic of Korea, who welcomed the participating delegations and expressed his hope that this event would meet the expectations of the participants.
General Chengriha was welcomed at the KINTEX Convention and Exhibition Center by General Jin Young-sung, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea, in the presence of military delegations from both countries. This meeting was devoted to evaluating bilateral military cooperation and examining ways to strengthen this partnership, in accordance with the wishes of the two leaders.
During his speech, General Chengriha expressed his gratitude for the welcome given to the Algerian delegation, also thanking for the invitation to participate in this important international event. He congratulated his Korean counterpart on his recent appointment and wished him every success in his new role. He underlined Algeria’s desire to strengthen military cooperation with South Korea. He affirmed that participation in this global exhibition, dedicated to the latest technological innovations in defense, will contribute to deepening bilateral collaboration, in particular through the evaluation of technological and industrial capacities, with the aim of modernizing Algerian defense systems.
For his part, General Jin Young-sung declared himself honored to receive the Algerian delegation. He praised the determination of the two countries to establish a promising military partnership, commensurate with their strategic cooperation, by opening new perspectives for collaboration.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of symbolic gifts between the two senior military officials, thus marking the strengthening of ties between Algeria and the Republic of Korea in the field of defense.
