🕎 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lit the third Hanukkah candle at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem alongside PMO staff, their families, and Acting Director General Drorit Steinmetz.

In remarks to employees and their children, Netanyahu said “evil tries—and sadly sometimes succeeds at times—to harm Jews who don’t have the protection the State of Israel provides,” but stressed that “our spirit does not fall… we are strong and very united.”

He tied the holiday’s message to Israel’s wartime reality, crediting “heroic soldiers” for “great miracles,” honoring the fallen in what he called the fight against the “axis of evil,” and vowing Israel will keep pushing forward together.

Netanyahu also referenced the return of Israeli police officer Ran (Rani) Gvili, whom Israeli officials believe is no longer alive and whose remains have not yet been recovered—an open wound that still hangs over the country.
Steinmetz called the candle-lighting a yearly tradition that reflects the PMO’s “special spirit”—a mix of professionalism, mission, and one connected community.
