The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member States of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OCI) expressed their rejection and their firm condemnation of the plan of the Zionist entity aimed at completely reoccuping the Gaza strip.
Gathered this Monday in Djeddah, Saudi Arabia, in an extraordinary session with a view to examining the continuous Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people, the ministers stressed that these Zionist projects are “a serious and unacceptable climbing, an attempt to consolidate an illegal occupation and impose a fait accompli by force”. These projects are “contrary to international law and in the flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, human rights, relevant resolutions of international legality, as well as the advisory opinion and provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice”, said the Ministers of Foreign Affairs in a declaration adopted at the end of the meeting, which saw the participation of the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of the national community abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf.
The Zionist entity, occupying power, “is fully responsible for the crimes of genocide, the unprecedented humanitarian disaster and the famine that rages in the Gaza Strip”, added the declaration, demanding “the opening of all the crossing points and the immediate and unconditional authorization of the input of humanitarian aid in sufficient quantity, while guaranteeing the freedom of action of the emergency agencies and international and humanitarian organizations, UNRWA ”.
Calling on respect for international humanitarian law, international law relating to human rights and UN resolutions, the declaration underlines “the importance of a responsible international reaction to the observation of the integrated framework of food security (IPC), adopted by the United Nations, which officially confirmed, for the first time, the existence of a famine in Gaza”.
The text also recalls that “just, sustainable and global peace can only be achieved by the implementation of the two-state solution, based on the end of the colonial occupation and guaranteeing the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian State on the borders of June 4, 1967, with El Quds-Est for Capital”.
Algeria’s efforts to the UN welcomed
In addition, the OIC welcomed the efforts of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in favor of the Palestinian cause. The resolution sanctioning the work of this meeting affirmed “the support of the concrete and notable efforts deployed by the Democratic and Popular Algerian Republic, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, from his siege as a non -permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and within the framework of his presidency of the UN body, in favor of the Muslim causes, in general, particular “.
The resolution also called to support the efforts made by Algeria, alongside other Muslim countries who are not permanent members of the Security Council, for an emergency mobilization within the Council so that he assumes the responsibilities incumbent upon him in accordance with the United Nations Charter, taking “immediate and concrete measures capable of stopping the re -business plan of Gaza, to end the genocidal war against the people. Palestinian and guarantee the immediate and lasting entry of humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip, in particular following the famine officially declared by the UN ”.
As a reminder, in his intervention during this session, Mr. Attaf assured that the threats to the Palestinian cause in particular and on the region of the Middle East in general require that the international community adopts a new approach to anticipate and manage the dangers which result from it.
He stressed that “the Israeli occupation no longer even bothered to hide its expansionist plans, its leaders openly boasting of reviving and implementing what is called the” Grand Israel “project”.
Intense Attaf activities

In conclusion, the Minister called on the international community to take the available deterrents seriously, in particular the necessary international sanctions, to put an end to the aggression, to impose respect for international legitimacy and to save the region that awaits it, namely unprecedented threats and dangers and in incalculable consequences.
It should be noted that in the margins of this session in Djeddah, Mr. Attaf met several of his counterparts. He had bilateral interviews with the heads of diplomacy of Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
