Closing of the 3rd edition of SEVAGRO 2025

The third edition of the National Exhibition of Green Entrepreneurship, Agriculture and Agri-Food (SEVAGRO 2025) organized in Bouira since last Wednesday, closed the day before yesterday with the awarding of the prize for the best Start-up.
During this ceremony, held at the AB Park leisure complex in the city center, the local authorities of the wilaya and sector officials presented the prize for best Start-up to a young entrepreneur from Haizer (East of Bouira), who works in collaboration with an Algerian businessman in Brazil for the promotion and development of forage crops in Algeria.
“The project of this young entrepreneur concerns the cultivation in Algeria of a fodder plant imported from Brazil to develop this type of crop enjoying significant nutritional value for the benefit of sheep and cattle.”
This was reported to the APS by Ms. Salima Kerkoud, responsible for the Agricultural Services Directorate (DSA), specifying that several other project leaders, students from Akli Mohand Oulhadj University, participated in this competition with a series of innovative projects.
You should also know that the 3rd edition of SEVAGRO was also marked by the award ceremony for the best goat, which went to a breeder from Bouira, for the best goat, and another from Béjaïa for the best goat.
Organized by the company ”Vision Art” in collaboration with the DSA of Bouira, this edition brought together 120 exhibitors representing several wilayas. For five days, the Show succeeded in attracting a large audience, notably agricultural investors, breeders, and agro-companies.

The 9th edition of the International Waste Recovery and Valorization Exhibition (REVADE), which is being held at the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Center (Algiers), also stood out for highlighting innovations and intelligent solutions in the field of the circular economy, in particular the collection, recycling and recovery of waste. The objective of this new edition is to support all innovative initiatives in the field and establish an integrated national waste management system based on efficiency, creativity and innovation.
In statements to the APS, several Start-up managers welcomed the facilitations put in place by the State to encourage investment in the circular economy and develop the Start-up ecosystem, particularly in terms of supervision and support.
