⚡️🇸🇸🇸🇩 Reports indicate that South Sudan’s People’s Defence Forces have entered the town of Heglig in Sudan’s West Kordofan following its capture by the Rapid Support Forces.

The deployment is aimed at securing key oil facilities in the area under a tripartite agreement reached between the SSPDF, the Sudanese Armed Forces, and the RSF.

South Sudan’s military chief confirmed that the agreement grants the SSPDF primary responsibility for security at the Heglig oil field.
