The resumption of registrations for the AADL 3 program, after the examination of applications, brings new hope to Algerians in search of housing. The initiative resumes immediately after the examination of all subscription applications. This was indicated in a press release from the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and the City.
“The suspension of the registration operation for the AADL 3 program was made in order to review the 1,440,340 subscription applications” registered, the press release added. “The registration operation for the AADL 3 program will resume immediately after the review of all subscription applications,” the press release continued.
The closing of subscriptions on the digital platform of the AADL 3 program took place on Thursday, July 18 at midnight, after an exceptional extension decided by the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and the City. Initially, subscriptions were to end at 6 p.m., but the ministry granted an extension until midnight to meet the high demand.
Since the opening of subscriptions, a total of 1,401,043 subscribers have registered on the digital platform and the application of the AADL 3 program. The program, eagerly awaited by many Algerians, was announced by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in October 2023. The opening of registrations, scheduled for July 5, 2024, has generated immense enthusiasm.
Faced with this massive influx, the AADL 3 platform’s website and mobile application quickly became saturated, making access difficult for many Algerians. Subscribers were faced with various obstacles such as error messages, inaccessible pages and interminable waiting times. In response to numerous complaints from citizens, the ministry explained in a press release on July 7 that the platform had experienced slowdowns due to the large number of browsers wishing to register.
The ministry also said it had successfully dealt with dozens of attempts to hack the site, identifying the sources and taking legal action.
