Students, old and new, will have to mark the date of September 22, 2025 on their agenda. It is indeed on this date that the comeback will be made on the benches of the University for the Academic Year 2025-2026. This was indicated this Wednesday, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Wednesday.
This decision changes the first version of the calendar published earlier in the year. According to instruction No. 859 of the Secretary General of the Ministry, it was initially planned that teachers and researchers resume on September 6, and that courses start in all training cycles on the 13th of the same month. The ministry therefore readjusted the start of the school year for the entire university community.
It should be noted that until August 15, the final university registrations are made entirely online, within the framework of the “zero paper” device. Access to the dedicated platform is possible via the QR code or by the link: https://progres.mesrs.dz/webetu/.
Students must connect using the account indicated on their certificate of the baccalaureate, then check their orientation on the date specified on their file. At the end of the procedure, they automatically obtain their multi -service virtual student card, available for download from smartphone.
As a reminder, the secretary general of the ministry had already invited the presidents of regional conferences of universities to establish direct contact with the rectors of higher education and scientific research establishments, as well as with the Director General of the National Office of University Works (Onou National Office of University Works). The objective is to set up all the necessary measures and arrangements for a successful school year.
With this in mind, efforts will focus as much on the educational organization as to logistics, in order to ensure a fluid start and on time for the tens of thousands of students expected, according to the ministry.
This year, special attention is paid to the new baccalaureate holders of the 2025 promotion. To facilitate their integration and answer all their questions concerning final university registrations, the ministry has set up a listening unit. Accessible until August 15, this service works every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bacmites can use it by calling the telephone numbers available to them. With these support systems, the ministry aims to guarantee an optimal progress of the 2025-2026 academic year, placing both the educational quality and the logistical well-being of students at the heart of its priorities.
