The permanence program was respected 99.98% by traders on the third day of Eid El-Adha, said the day before yesterday in a press release from the Ministry of Commerce and Export Promotion.
“The Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion recorded almost total compliance with the permanence program, on the third day of Aid, i.e. 52,370 traders (nine not having respected the program), for a total of 52,379 traders mobilized,” he added.
The ministry expressed its “consideration for all traders and thanks them for having served the customer, which contributed significantly to ensuring the availability of vital products and services”, also valuing “the role of non-mobilized traders who took the initiative to open their businesses.
Regarding the control agents, the ministry praised their efforts to guarantee the proper implementation of the permanence program, price control and the quality of the services offered, while also welcoming the effective role of economic operators and production units which maintained their services during this religious occasion.
In addition, the traders mobilized within the framework of this program are spread over several activities, namely bakeries, commercial and economic operators concerned by different supply activities for widely consumed products (fruit and vegetable sellers, general food supplies). , milk processing plants, flour mills, cafeterias and restaurants). Furthermore, traders, service providers and economic operators not affected by the permanence are asked, according to a press release from the National Association of Traders and Craftsmen (ANCA), to resume their activities normally from the fourth day of Eid .
After thanking all permanent traders for their high sense of duty to ensure public service and compliance with the permanence program in accordance with the laws in force, the Association called on all traders, service providers and economic operators not affected by the permanence to resume their activities and open their businesses immediately after the end of Eid, i.e. from yesterday (Wednesday June 19, 2024).
She also wanted to reassure traders that “wholesale markets and supply chains are operating normally according to the usual program in all wilayas”, according to the same document.
The ANCA expressed its satisfaction with the respect of the permanence program by traders and economic operators, at a rate of “100% in several municipalities at the national level”, affirming “that several traders opened their businesses during the days of Eid, without their names appearing on the list of traders affected by the permanence program.”
