Algerian and Vietnamese diplomatic authorities took part, Monday in Hanoi, in the 4th session of political consultations between the two countries, devoted to strengthening bilateral ties and promoting expanded cooperation, a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated on Monday.

In the same vein, the Vietnamese press specified that the two parties had affirmed that economic, commercial and investment cooperation must remain “an essential pillar” of bilateral relations, with the ambition of increasing the volume of trade to nearly a billion dollars “in the near future”.
The Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lê Anh Tuân, proposed to Algeria to “facilitate the implementation of the Bir Seba oil and gas project” and “to support Vietnam in the development of the halal industry”, again according to the same Vitamin source.
It was also specified that Lounès Magramane indicated that Algeria “is currently reforming its investment legislation”, with the option of attracting more “foreign partners”.
