The Minister of Foreign Trade and the Promotion of Exports, Kamel Rezig, chaired, last Sunday in Algiers, an evaluation meeting devoted to the examination and revision of the various measures taken in terms of foreign trade regulations. These include those linked to the import operations of goods and services, on the basis of the provisional program of the second half of the current year, said a statement from the ministry.
This meeting, held at the new headquarters of the ministry, in the presence of executives in the sector, was also an opportunity to present an overall assessment of the various international fairs in which Algeria took part during the past period, as well as to examine the program arrested for the salons provided inside the country and abroad by the end of the year, and this, in order to highlight the national potential and to consolidate the competitiveness of the Algerian markets exterior.
The meeting also made it possible to mention the files relating to the mechanism of compensation for export operations within the framework of the Special Fund for the Promotion of Exports (FSPE) for the benefit of national companies, as well as the major commercial contracts concluded by Algerian companies during the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025).
It also focused on the practical measures relating to the creation of the two national export and import bodies, and their entry into force as central regulation and organization of external commercial operations, in accordance with the high orientations of the President of the Republic.
On this occasion, the Minister gave instructions to quickly finalize the study of the provisional programs of companies, taking care to be in direct contact with the latter and to receive their representatives to listen to their concerns and continue to ensure regular support in order to guarantee the implementation of programs in the best conditions, according to the same source.
He also insisted on the need to support national companies having concluded commercial contracts within the framework of the intra-African trade fair (IATF), in order to strengthen the Algerian presence on the regional and international markets, added the ministry.
