Russia launched missile and drone attacks against two DTEK power stations in Ukraine early on Thursday, causing significant damage to the infrastructure.

Fortunately, there were no casualties among the workforce.

DTEK teams are working tirelessly to repair and restore power as quickly as possible.

Over the past three weeks, DTEK has faced its most severe attacks since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, resulting in the destruction of around 80% of its available capacity. Despite this aggression, DTEK remains committed to protecting and preserving Ukraine’s civilian energy system.

Ukrainian thermal power plants have been targeted almost 170 times since February 2022, highlighting the urgent need for assistance in sourcing power generation equipment.
