Russia seeks to wreak havoc in Ukraine and overthrow president – Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Russia is seeking to split Ukrainian society, wreak havoc inside the country and ultimately overthrow the president.

Details: The Ukrainian president described a disinformation plan internally known as Maidan 3.

This is a reference to the protests in the centre of Kyiv in 2004 and 2013-2014. Viktor Yanukovych, the 4th Ukrainian President, fled to Russia after the Euromaidan protests (2014 Revolution of Dignity).

Quote: “Maidan is coup for them, so the operation is understandable.”

Details: The Ukrainian president also stressed that his team would reject anything resembling a frozen conflict.
