Russia wants to capture Chasov Yar before May 9, – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Alexander Syrsky said that the top Russian military leadership has set its troops the task of capturing the city of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region by May 9.
According to him, the Russian infantry managed to reach the “Novy” microdistrict (the eastern part of the city), however, as the commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states, “they were destroyed by drone strikes and artillery strikes by the Ukrainian military.”
“In order to adequately respond to enemy actions and strengthen the defense of our troops in this direction, measures were taken to significantly strengthen the brigades with ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare equipment,” the commander-in-chief wrote in his telegram channel.
