‼️Russia’s Shadow Fleet of Oil Tankers Targeted by UK, EU Nations
Great Britain and EU countries have agreed to strengthen their fight against the shadow fleet of Russian oil tankers, according to Bloomberg sources.
The final plan is expected to be approved on Thursday, July 18, at a meeting of the European Political Community.
“The shadow fleet of Russia poses a threat to our countries and other states that depend on the world’s seas and oceans. Many of these vessels are uninsured and poorly maintained, engaging in activities that violate basic safety and environmental standards,” the document states.
According to one source, the implemented measures may result in more tankers falling under sanctions.
