As the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the Minister of National Education, Mohamed Seghir Saâdaoui, on the move in the wilaya of Béni Abbès, reiterated, this Saturday evening, his commitment to maintain a constant social dialogue with the unions of the sector, in the face of the expectations of the teaching staff.
In this perspective, Saâdaoui underlined its availability to continue consultations, carried out for several months, with the social partners of the education sector, with the objective of improving the professional framework, in the wake of the adoption of the particular status of staff. He also expressed his desire to improve the socio-professional conditions of common bodies and education professionals.
“We are going to continue dialogue with the social partners,” said Saâdaoui. In this sense, the Minister has declared: “The new status already includes achievements which should be preserved, while remaining open to the proposals of the representatives of teachers of the three levels – primary, medium and secondary. The objective, he said, is to lead to a finalized document which will serve as the basis for pursuing dialogue with the representatives of the workers of the common bodies.
During his visit to the wilaya, the minister also mentioned the issue of the necessary school infrastructure projects, stressing that they must “must respond to the standards set by the Ministry of Education”.
These standards, he explained, are designed to be in line with the educational objectives traced, essential condition, according to him, to guarantee better quality of teaching. In this sense, he urged the Walis to follow the progress of projects closely, to avoid any realization not in accordance with the requirements adopted by the ministry.
Accompanied by the Wali of Beni Abbès, Djamel Eddine Hashass, the minister thus carried out an inspection tour of several school projects in progress. In Igli, the Minister said that the site of a new high school with 800 educational places, with a 200 -bed boarding school and called to replace the Abdelhafid Senhadri high school, had reached a progress rate of 73%. He said that this project had required a public investment of more than 428 million dinars, while emphasizing the need to complete the work within the shortest deadlines. In the same commune, he pointed out that he inspected the construction of a primary school group of 27 classes, located in the new urban pole Ajmad.
In El Ouata, the Minister said he had inaugurated a school canteen with a capacity of 200 meals per day, intended for students of the first level from the start of the 2025-2026 school year. He also announced the launch of the site of a new primary school that can accommodate 300 students.
At the chief town of the wilaya, he stressed that he had followed the progress of the work of a new high school with 1000 educational places and proceeds to the inauguration of the Othmani Ziane primary school.
On this occasion, the Minister announced the launch of the Grand Prix of School Innovation, the first edition of which will be devoted to robotics. The same official also revealed the intention of his department to revive inter-lycée competitions from the start of the 2025-2026 school year, with the aim of strengthening the spirit of emulation and performance between establishments.
