Saddam Hussein’s artillery shipped to Ukraine – report
Self-propelled artillery pieces employed by Saddam Hussein have been sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Novaya Gazeta reports, citing the Russian ‘Tankodrome’ telegram channel.
The pieces include at the least a 2S1 Gvozdika howitzer and a 2S3 Akatsiya, both Soviet-made, captured by the British forces during the Iraq War, and likely used before that in Saddam’s US-backed war with Iran.
