Sayoud insists on the availability of buses and the renewal of the fleet

The Minister of Transport, Said Sayoud, insisted on Wednesday in Algiers, on the availability of university transport and the renewal of the reserved fleet with the aim of guaranteeing optimal care of students, during the start of the university 2025-2026. During a visit to the company El Djamiaya Linakl Oua El Khadamet (DNK),
Mr. Sayoud is inquired about the state of the park and the maintenance workshop, claiming that “students’ safety begins with the availability of buses, preventive and periodic maintenance, and regular control to remedy all the insufficiencies as soon as possible”.
The Minister also called for “raising awareness among workers about their duties and ensuring permanent mobilization at the service of students”.
In addition and during a meeting chaired by Mr. Sayoud after his visit with the sector executives and the company officials, the DNK director general said that “maintenance operations were carried out quickly, with the taking of all the technical measures necessary for the repair of breakdowns, hence the full availability of the fleet for the next academic year”.
During this meeting, the Minister stressed “the need to assume responsibility to propel the company, through professional management, the rationalization of expenditure and the diversification of sources of income”.
The Minister also highlighted the need to “organize work, define responsibilities, support and renew the fleet, following a studied plan”.
Mr. Sayoud ordered the establishment of an internal commission, in order to “carry out an overall inventory of the equipment and to assess his condition, in order to set up a practical plan to renew the fleet and remove the buses out of use”, while submitting detailed reports within the imparted deadlines.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister reaffirmed “his support and constant support for the DNK, recalling that” the execution staff constitute the strong link for its revival “, calling them” to more discipline and seriousness, in order to put themselves in tune with frantic changes in the service of students “.
