Six new ambassadors at Abdelmadjid Tebboune

Six (6) new ambassadors presented their credentials to the President of the Republic, Abldemadjid Tebboune, the day before yesterday, Tuesday. They are the Ambassador of Austria, Wolfgang Spadinger, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, Ms. Anna Block Mazoyer, the Ambassador of Ukraine, Oleksandr Voronin, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Najmul Huda Mohammed, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdellatif Ellayeh, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, Vincent Karega. Algeria, affirmed the new Austrian Ambassador, Wolfgang Spadinger after handing over his credentials to the Head of State as Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, remains an essential partner in the fight against illegal immigration and constitutes a pole of stability in an unstable and complex regional environment. Welcoming Algeria’s active role in favor of regional stability and its commitment within international bodies.
Highlighting the excellent relations between Algeria and Austria, the diplomat underlined the key role that Algeria can play for Europe in the energy transition, citing the example of the Southern Green Hydrogen Corridor project which will connect several countries on both shores of the Mediterranean.
For her part, the new Swedish ambassador, Ms. Anna Block Mazoyer, underlined the depth of the historical ties between the two countries. Welcoming Algeria’s efforts in favor of multilateralism and peace, citing in particular its role within the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member. “Sweden does not forget Algeria’s constant commitment within the UN system, a commitment born since the struggle for independence,” she said in a statement after presenting the President of the Republic with her credentials as ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Algeria.
Sweden, she continued, will remain active in its efforts, because Algeria is an important partner. Commercial relations between the two countries are part of the Association Agreement between Algeria and the European Union, as well as the Partnership for the Mediterranean which opens new prospects for cooperation based on the mutual interests of the two parties,” she said, also referring to bilateral cooperation in areas such as energy transition, taxation and local authorities, “concrete projects intended to improve the daily lives of citizens.
For his part, the new Ukrainian ambassador, Oleksandr Voronin, expressed his country’s desire to further strengthen its bilateral cooperation with Algeria, specifying that his country was ready to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Algeria, particularly in the energy sector, not without recalling the strategic place that Algeria occupies in the regional and international energy landscape.
“My country was ready to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Algeria, particularly in the energy sector,” he indicated at the end of the ceremony to present his letters of credence to the President of the Republic. The Ambassador of the Republic of Bangladesh, Najmul Huda Mohammed, for his part, praised the excellent relations which unite Algeria and his country, underlining the common desire to strengthen and diversify them, particularly economically.
“I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to represent the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in this sister country, Algeria, with which we maintain excellent bilateral relations,” he said after presenting the President of the Republic with his credentials accrediting him as his country’s ambassador to Algeria.
The new ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdellatif Ellayeh, for his part, affirmed his country’s desire to continue consultation, coordination and common action with Algeria, with a view to strengthening bilateral relations and raising them to the highest levels. Stressing the importance of continuing consultation, coordination and joint action with a view to strengthening the ties uniting the two countries and raising them to a level worthy of the place of the two countries.
Finally, the new ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, Vincent Karega, expressed his country’s desire to work hand in hand with Algeria. Rejoicing to be the pioneer to have opened the Rwandan embassy in Algeria.
