An IDF soldier ambushed in southern Syria is alive after Rambam surgeons in Haifa opened his chest and stabilized him with a bullet still lodged in his heart. Both he and another badly wounded soldier are now in stable condition after the terror-raid gun battle and subsequent Israeli airstrikes.
