Tariq Halal ouvre sa première boutique à Manchester Création de 1.000 emplois au Royaume-Uni

Tariq Halal opens its first store in Manchester Creation of 1,000 jobs in the United Kingdom

One of Britain’s best-known halal meat brands, Tariq Halal, has opened its first store in Manchester. This opening marks the start of an ambitious expansion phase, with 100 new stores planned in the next five years and the creation of more than 1,000 jobs across the country. Founded in 1965 by Tariq Sheikh and his father, the business has grown from a simple London butcher’s shop to a major player in the UK halal market, now supplying over 300 Sainsbury’s supermarkets.
“This expansion is about more than new stores: it’s a way to strengthen communities, create opportunities and make quality accessible to all,” said Tariq Sheikh, president and founder. For CEO Kunal Patel, this new step opens “an exciting era” for the brand, driven by confidence in a growing halal market in the United Kingdom. The next openings are planned for 2026, combining franchises and direct sales points
The expansion of Tariq Halal demonstrates the growing weight of the halal market in the United Kingdom, now well beyond just community consumption. This development reflects an underlying trend: the standardization and promotion of halal as a guarantee of quality, traceability and food ethics. By investing in large cities and creating local jobs, Tariq Halal is also strengthening the economic integration of a long-marginalized sector, while responding to a national demand for responsible and transparent products.n
