Tebboune inaugure la 55e édition  – Le Jeune Indépendant


The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, kicked off this Monday afternoon the 55e edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA), at Safex, where he visited several national and foreign stands.

After a presentation made by the Minister of Commerce, the President of the Republic visited several stands, like that of Turkey, guest country of honor of this edition of the FIA, where he received presentations from from the heads of companies participating in this international economic event, as well as the Palestine stand.

The President of the Republic also visited the stand of the National People’s Army (ANP), where he received explanations on the development of the military vehicle industry, in addition to the presentation presented on the field hospital military of the Ministry of National Defense, installed in the esplanade of the Safex Exhibition Center. The Head of State also visited the stand reserved for Start-ups, where he congratulated the young entrepreneurs on their mastery of new technologies. At the same time, he expressed his strong encouragement to project leaders and encouraged them to continue on the path of innovation.

Under the theme “A gateway for exchanges and opportunities for partnership and investment”, this FIA was inaugurated in the presence of Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP) , Saïd Chanegriha, the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni, as well as members of the government, and the president of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) and local authorities of the wilaya of Algiers.

The Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Cevdet Yilmaz, whose country is the guest of honor of this new edition, organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, was also present at the inauguration ceremony .

This 55e edition of the FIA ​​hosted by the Palais des Expositions (Pins maritimes) in Algiers until June 29, sees the participation of around 700 national and foreign exhibitors, representing around twenty countries.

This edition will be marked by a rich entertainment program divided into several conferences and economic meetings, including bilateral Algerian-Czech, Algerian-Pakistani and Algerian-Tanzanian business forums, according to the Algerian Society of Fairs and Exports group, organizer of the event through its subsidiary “Algeria Exhibitions”.

This edition, which is marked by the return of Canada and the Czech Republic, will this year bring together no less than ten sectors of activity and will attract no less than 400,000 visitors, according to Safex.

The FIA ​​also constitutes “an effective platform for professional networking and long-term partnerships, and an opportunity to discover the cultural and tourist characteristics of Algeria and other countries”, it is emphasized.

Among the sectors and sectors represented at this fair, whose exhibition pavilions will cover an area of ​​50,000 m2, include agriculture, agri-food, manufacturing industry, chemical industry, construction, petrochemicals and services.

It is intended in particular to highlight national production capacities and which promotes investment and trade in all areas, notes Safex which affirms that this fair is classified among the most important international meetings, particularly reflecting the national economic development and strengthening commercial and professional exchanges through the establishment of an environment conducive to partnership and foreign direct investment.

The previous edition of the FIA ​​brought together, as we recall, some 640 exhibitors, including 473 Algerian companies and 164 foreigners on an area of ​​23,000 m2.
