• Germany stands by Syria and supports achieving the goal confirmed again by President Ahmed al-Sharaa, which is to build a stable Syria that guarantees a secure future for all its citizens, regardless of their religious or ethnic affiliations.

• I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Syrian people, the Syrian government, and the families of all the victims who fell in the recent events in As-Suwayda area.

• Germany welcomes the agreement reached between the Syrian government and the elders and religious leaders from As-Suwayda governorate, and calls on all parties to respect this agreement and work towards its full implementation as soon as possible.

• We are deeply concerned about reports of retaliatory actions and strongly condemn all forms of violence that could undermine this agreement.

• Regarding the Israeli airstrikes on targets in Damascus, our Foreign Minister has called on all parties to refrain from any actions that threaten Syria’s stability.
