Today, twelve Israeli soldiers sustained injuries from wasp stings in the southern Gaza Strip during an operation conducted by the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade near the community of Nirim.

The incident happened when a tank inadvertently disturbed a sizable wasp nest, prompting the insects to attack the troops.

According to the IDF, one soldier is in moderate condition while the remaining eleven suffered minor injuries.

All of them have been evacuated to a hospital in Israel for medical care.

According to doctors, some soldiers were stung by hundreds of hornets, while others suffered fewer stings.

”I have never seen a similar case where one person was hit by hundreds of wasps”.
