Tous les projets récupérés par l’Etat seront réactivés – Le Jeune Indépendant

This is what the Prime Minister, during his first outing on the field on Monday on Monday.

Gherieb went to the wilaya of Jijel where he proceeded to the inauguration and the exploitation of the “Kotama Agri Food” kotama agri food trituration complex from the Madar Holding public group, as well as he reassured the revival of the national economy.

Presented as a strategic project, the “Kotama Agri Food” complex is presented as a project that should contribute significantly to local economic development and to strengthen food security. Mr. Ghrieb wanted to emphasize that the realization of this complex was completed in two years thanks to the Algerian skills, after a stop of several years. This illustrates the revival policy, on the instruction of the Head of State, of confiscated projects. “All confiscated projects will be relaunched, whether or not it pleases,” he said in all the other projects recovered and the State intends to complete the realization.

The Prime Minister insisted, on the sidelines of his visit, on the development of an economic roadmap adapted to the needs of the national market and on the acceleration of the recovery of still free spaces at the port of Djen Djen to support in particular cement exports, according to the instructions of the President of the Republic. To this end, Mr. Ghreib announced the creation of a quay dedicated to this activity as well as the granting of 20 hectares to private investors for the installation of storage silos, during this visit where he was accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Said Sayoud, and the Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir.

8 million dollars saved for the benefit of the public treasury

Regarding the “Kotama Agri Food” agrifood complex, the Prime Minister recalled that the project had initially been compromised by embezzlement illegally transferred abroad. Recovered at only 20 % of realization rate, this project could be carried out in the long term thanks to the involvement of Algerian executives who then had neither the preliminary studies nor the means initially available. “Eight million dollars were saved for the benefit of the public treasury,” he said, stressing that foreign quotes, estimated at several million dollars, had been avoided thanks to local know-how.

“The Algerian does not know the impossible, and our first mission is to serve the people,” he added, quoting President Tebboune. For him, this project represents “added value for the national economy and the region”, while recalling that “the language of figures must take precedence over speeches”.

The CEO of Madar Holding, Charaf-Eddine Amara,, for his part, thanked President Tebboune for his constant support, qualifying the complex “pillar of new Algeria” and “proof of the capacity of national skills to meet the challenges”.

The complex, established in the town of Taher on an area of ​​more than 25 hectares, includes several units dedicated to the crushing of oleaginous seeds, extraction of soy oils, storage of raw materials and finished products, as well as a marketing space. It will cover 40% of national needs in raw vegetable oils and 60% in tits intended for animal feed. Each year, it will be able to treat 175,000 tonnes of raw materials, produce 36,000 tonnes of oils and 100,000 tonnes of cattle food.

With a storage capacity of 225,000 tonnes and a daily production of 5,000 tonnes (including 20% ​​oils and 80% animal feed), the factory should generate 350 direct and more than 1,500 indirect jobs.

This inauguration is part of the national strategy for recovering strategic projects, enhancement of local skills and recovery of diverted public goods within the framework of the fight against corruption.

During his visit, the Prime Minister also inspected the work of the second tranche of the container terminal of the port of Djen Djen.
