
Ukrainian air defense shot down 35 of the 39 Shahed-type attack drones launched by Russia overnight on July 21, the Air Force reported.
Russia struck with three Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Kursk region and Crimea, two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace of the Kursk region, and 39 “Shahed” type UAVs from three directions: Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and occupied Crimea.
The anti-aircraft defense managed to shoot down 35 enemy attack UAVs “Shahed – 131/136”. Also, thanks to active countermeasures, the two Kh-59/69 did not reach their targets. They didn’t specify where Iskander-M missiles hit.
At least one missile hit some critical infrastructure in Sumy Oblast this morning, Sumy Oblast Military Administration said
All the drones targeting Kyiv were destroyed by the air defense outside the city.
Anti-aircraft defense worked in Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Cherkasy regions.
