Un nouveau consulat général de l’Algérie à San Francisco – Le Jeune Indépendant


Algeria has opened a new consulate general in San Francisco, which will join the one in New York, according to two presidential decrees published in Official Journal No. 47.

The Consulate General in San Francisco will cover the western US states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

As for the New York consulate, it will have jurisdiction over the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont and Wisconsin.

In September 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad announced the plan to open the Consulate General in San Francisco.
