Un taux national de réussite de 58,28% au Baccalauréat 2024 – Le Jeune Indépendant


The success rate for the Baccalaureate exam (June 2024 session) reached 58.28% at the national level dominated by the mathematics stream, the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belaabed, announced Thursday in Algiers.

During a press conference held at the ministry’s headquarters, Mr. Belaabed specified that “any candidate who obtained, this year, an average equal to or higher than 10/20 is considered successful”, knowing that the national success rate last year was 50.61%.

Out of 862,733 registered school and private candidates, 544,385 candidates took the Baccalaureate exam this year, of which 317,258 were admitted.

The Mathematics stream topped the ranking with a pass rate of 82.25%, while the Arts stream, introduced this year, recorded a pass rate of 79.45%.

The results of the 2024 Baccalaureate in figures

– National success rate: 58.28%

– Success rate for people with special needs: 46.12%

– Best success rate by sector:

– Mathematics: 82.25%

– Letters and philosophy: 52.47%

– Foreign languages: 64.11%

– Management and economics: 47.38%

– Experimental sciences: 61.62%

– Mechanical engineering: 7.50%

– Electrical engineering: 64%

– Civil engineering: 58.45%

– Process engineering: 57.18%

– Arts: 79.45%.
