More than a hundred Belgian and Luxembourg companies participated in a Forum organized by the Algerian Embassy in Brussels in collaboration with the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Brussels Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurs.

Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki, General Manager of Algeria Venture (A-Venture), Start-up. The latter focused his intervention on the ecosystem of Start-ups and innovation in Algeria, the modalities of their financing and the promising prospects, which are emerging internationally for this sector. It should be recalled that this forum, which is part of the actions of Algerian economic diplomacy, focused mainly on the business environment and investment and partnership opportunities in Algeria, particularly in the sectors of Start-ups, digital technology and clean and renewable energies. For his part, Mr. Mohamed El Amine Bencherif, Algerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, recalled on this occasion the excellence of bilateral relations, supported by a global trade exchange during 2023, exceeding the figure of 2.7 billion euros, with a trade balance favorable to Algeria, and this, in light of the commitments made, under the program of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to give impetus to the economic dynamics of the country, particularly in the sector of Start-ups, digital and innovation. The ambassador stressed that the new Algeria offers the business world, national and international, a healthy, transparent and regulated climate that allows the development of the company producing wealth and jobs. He also discussed the structuring projects that have been undertaken, such as the exploitation of the Gara Djebilet iron ore deposits, the Djebel Onk phosphate, and the launch of the construction of major road and rail infrastructure projects. The economic component of this forum was punctuated by fruitful B2B meetings between the participants and the Algerian delegation, discussing in this wake, the energy potential of Algeria outside hydrocarbons, the programs for their development for the years to come, as well as the new regulatory framework and investment procedures.
