Export contracts concluded during the 4th edition of intra-African trade fair (IATF-2025)

The Minister of Foreign Trade and the Promotion of Exports, Kamel Rezig, estimated, Thursday in Algiers, that the contracts signed, worth 11.4 billion USD, do not only represent a financial value, but constitute a strong message indicating that Algeria advances resolutely to become a nerve center of exchanges and economic integration in Africa. “These contracts are a recognition that the Algerian economy has reached an honorable level, Thanks to the efforts of economic reform initiated by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, since 2020, and which have made it possible to restore the confidence of partners in Africa and outside the continent, “he said.
Finding that these results were achieved thanks to the competence of economic operators, their negotiation capacity and their disposition to access the continent’s markets.
Intervening at a meeting he chaired at the headquarters of the ministry, in the presence of business managers who signed export contracts during the 4th edition of the IATF, held from September 4 to 10 in Algiers, Kamel Rezig said that these efforts are also reflected through the access of national products, from various production sectors, in the external markets on the 5 continents. Stressing that exports excluding hydrocarbons recorded, in August 2025, an increase of 23% compared to the same month of 2024. “Operators are now fully aware that Africa is the future,” he continued.
Referring to the follow-up of the execution of the export contracts concluded during the 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF-2025), the Minister has occasionally announced the creation of a permanent body, chaired by his ministerial department. “This body, which brings together representatives of ministerial departments and the organizations concerned as well as economic operators, is a participatory mechanism which aims to concretize commercial and investment contracts, and to lift all obstacles hampering their achievement,” he said. Note that this approach is part of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune who insisted on the support of economic operators in all the stages of implementing their contracts, by granting all the facilities and means.
The body added the minister, will bring together the ministries of industry, pharmaceutical industry, hydrocarbons and mines, agriculture, rural development and fishing, public works and basic infrastructure, interior, local authorities and transport, post and telecommunications, the economy of knowledge, start-ups and micro-companies Finances, as well as the Directorate General of Customs, Banks, the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), the National Association of Algerian Exporters, (Anexal) and the Algerian and exporters. Specifying that this body will ensure the follow -up of the execution of contracts in 2025, 2026 and 2027.
Finding that 75 companies (34 companies, public and private, have signed export contracts and 41 companies have export opportunities), will benefit from specific support, the Minister praised the efforts of economic operators who contributed to the success of IATAF, which led to unprecedented results.
